Theater and stage costume as a visual image

Yevgenia Biserova
Yevgenia Biserova. Artist-playwright of the State Theater of Young Viewers of Uzbekistan. Scenographer. Costume artist. Makeup artist. An artist, he plays more than 50 children's and adult plays. Artist of puppet shows. A big show costume artist (one of the most recent is the opening of the World Boxing Championship). "I came to upcycling from the point of creation and resuscitation of clothes. As a costume artist, I am constantly faced with the question of how to redesign a garment, create a new one from the old one, or what to do with the huge amount of clothes and fabrics that are out of fashion, from the sock or remain anyway... And upcycling is precisely the movement that leads to creativity and rational consumption and self-development as a person.

What inspired you to make this project?
Working with textured fabrics, studying the history of our region and working with images in space.
What are some of the challenges you have encountered and how did you address them?
The stage costume is often viewed by the viewer at a distance from the hall. These images were created taking into account that the performance can be shown in the simplest and most unadapted place and without stage lighting. It was also interesting to work with the creation of a "pseudo-historical style" of images. Because the scene is not a documentary chronicle, but an impression.
